The State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) launched a Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot project on January 23, 2012, which would last till January 22, 2016.

China and Germany decided together to extend the Sino-German PPH pilot project for two more years from January 23, 2016 to January 22, 2018. Same requirements and procedures shall apply.
